Best Seasonal Restaurants in Richmond

The food was fantastic and our server was on top of everything!

We had a reservation for 5:30pm which we were a few minutes early for, but waited a bit of time to be seated on arrival. We were asked to sit and wait which we were fine with at first since we arrived a couple minutes early. Meanwhile, the 3-4 hosts at the front sat several groups and pairs that arrived after us. This was a bit frustrating. Our overall time at the restaurant was a bit delayed as our grill wasnt hot enough to grill the meat quickly. Small plates were coming out of the kitchen faster then we could cook it. Also, we waited quite a bit of time for the dessert course and another helper came back to clear our table 3 or 4 times before our dessert finally arrived.

The service was excellent, the food cooked to perfection, I would describe as authentic Mediterranean. Nothing to fault with the food or service. We were a group of 4. Seated on the covered patio. The people sitting next to the awning tarp could feel a draft, but easily remedied by changing seats with the people on the inside. Would not recommend a person with mobility issues be seated next to awning side.

Everything was good. I do recommend making a reservation to avoid lineups. Looking forward to going again 👍

We live in Richmond and often feel like we need to go downtown to have this type of dining experience. Beautiful setting, attentive and personable service with Bear, great cocktails and food. Sablefish was one of the best I have had, and sake tasting was something new ! Look forward to going back with friends to try some different menu items. Thank you House of Dawn !
