Best Seasonal Restaurants in Puerto Vallarta

We had a great experience from the time we checked in. The view was great, the food was fresh and tasty, and our waiter was fantastic. It was my friend's birthday and they did a nice job of recognizing it without embarrassing her. They even called a taxi for us when we were ready to leave. This will definitely be on our agenda for our annual visit to PV.

Had a great experience and meal with my wife at Daquiri Dick's for Valentine's day. She had the filet, and I had the Dorado fish, and we shared a shrimp appetizer. All were excellent and the filet was maybe the best steak we've had in Puerto Vallarta over the past 10 years. When my wife asked our waiter, Christian, how is your espresso martini, he said "The best in Vallarta". He was right...it was delicious. Christian and the entire staff showed great attention to detail and truly made this a fine dining experience in a beach atmosphere. Overall a really nice meal and we will be back!

Outstanding service, good food, thoughtful menu, very beautiful ambience. When making a reservation, request a table by the river or even a table in the pergola over the river, the best place in the restaurant. Don’t miss eating here when you are in PV. Very nice for lunch in hot afternoons too, since it’s shady and cool on Cuale River island.

As always thr food was delicious and generous. The charred asparagus and peach salad with goat cheese was to die for. As always the stuffed figs did not disappoint. My filet was cooked to perfection and the others lived their meals. Octavio’s service was attentive and the celebratory birthday cake was fun and tasty. Azafran continues to be a favourite of ours.

La Palapa is hands-down our favorite dining spot in Puerto Vallarta. It’s the perfect place to catch a sunset, with stunning ocean views and an ambiance that strikes just the right balance between relaxed and elegant. The service here is consistently good—friendly, attentive, and warm without being overbearing. It’s clear the staff takes pride in creating a welcoming experience. The food is fun and approachable, offering a mix of flavors that never feels pretentious. Whether it’s a fresh seafood dish or a creative cocktail, everything is thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We make it a point to dine at La Palapa both at the beginning and end of every trip, and it never disappoints. It’s more than a meal; it’s part of the Puerto Vallarta experience.
