- MMikevipSan Francisco Bay Area •26 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe enjoyed another great dinner at Seasons 52 in Kansas City. The small filet was prepared precisely at medium well as ordered and was a tender and flavorful cut. The red wine sauce and mushrooms provided great accents. The cedar plank salmon was a generous portion that had just enough of the effect of the wood roasting to add distinctiveness. The “new discovery” Sauvignon Blanc matched with the salmon in a brisk but not too tart way. Its 9 oz was a good value, too. And Drew was a knowledgeable, attentive server with a good sense of humor.More infoSeasons 52 - Kansas CityPrice: Expensive• American• Plaza / Brookside•4.8
- LLeeKansas City / Kansas •14 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was the first time my wife and I had been to J. Gilbert's and it was a wonderful experience. I had the Kansas City strip; it was juicy and very flavorful; one of the best steaks I've ever had. My wife had the crab cakes and loved them. Only one downside in the whole meal; the crab bisque soup was just too salty! I should have sent it back. The desserts were very tasty and presented so nicely. I had the chocolate fudge cake; it was soooo good! Service was impecable! We will definitely be back to J Gilbert's.More infoJ. - KKatevipKansas City / Kansas •34 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 21, 2024The restaurant is in a beautiful space. The seating was comfortable, our waitress attentive but not intrusive. The food was fabulous. We both started with an excellent cup of crab chowder. My entree was the scallops in a stew base. I loved it and would definitely recommend. My husband had two small plates instead of an entree, their version of a wedge salad and an Ahi Tuna Tostada. He liked both. We shared a chocolate dessert that was awesome. The only caution is a high noise level. It did not impair our enjoyment but we did lean in to speak across the table. All in all, an enjoyable evening.More infoVerbenaPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Kansas City•4.8
