Best Seasonal Restaurants in Newtown

Our go to for date night/special occasion. The food and service are always excellent Attention to detail and extremely attentive.

We went out to dinner for my wife’s birthday. The waiter was very friendly, not phoney, very attentive without being annoying. Food was great. We ordered 3 apps and all outstanding. We all loved our meals. Only downside was they didn’t have the beer I was craving :)

This successor to Carole Peck's Good News Restaurant and Bar seems to be trying hard to meet the very high expectations for such a successor. Although the menu is no longer the same without Carole Peck, we had delicious food and left with the intent to return, as this had been our first choice for so many years. We shared the pate appetizer, which was nicely presented and delicious. Our main dishes were the Shrimp and Grits (on special) and the Wok-seared Shrimp (on the daily menu). Both were delicious, with wild shrimp, and the servings were generous. So happy to find high-quality ingredients, well-prepared, once again.

Service was knowledgeable, friendly and confident. The food was cooked and presented perfectly. We highly recommend the deviled eggs and fried oysters as a starter!

Great restaurant, location, views, ambiance, service and food. Looking forward to going back soon. Everything was delicious and fresh and sticky toffee pudding was out of this world.
