Soak up our friendly service and homely charm when nestled in this stunning roadside pub in the heart of Amble harbour town. Here at The Wellwood Arms, we are the perfect retreat to sit back, relax and indulge in our delicious food with the perfect drink in hand. Originally built as a farmhouse for Link House Farm, one of the three farms which made up early Amble, the pub is one of the oldest buildings in the whole of the town! Records dating back as far as 1842 show that the farm was owned by a Mrs Maria Wellwood - a possible explanation for the pub's name today! Our traditional pub classics are expertly crafted from our seasonal menus and the bar is crammed with local ales and tipples to tempt any taste buds. Using the most seasonal ingredients and decadent flavours, there's a dish for every desire. Turn your fleeting visit into a welcomed stay by resting your head in one of our four comfortable family ensuite rooms. All decorated with cosy interiors and homely touches you'll be able to unwind in comfort and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere in a home away from home.

St. Vincent is an after-work drinks spot, supper-with-friends place and general 'snack-with-a-glass-or-two' hang out with a big-hearted 'everybody welcome' attitude. Inspired by the neighbourhood bars we've found on our travels through France and Italy, we offer interesting wines, charcuterie and crowd pleasing plates full of punchy flavours. We had the most amazing evening at Peace&Loaf. We had the festive tasting menu and the wine pairing. The tasting menu was good, but a few of the dishes, like the egg&chips and the picanha lasagna were really salty. I'd like to come back to try the regular tasting menu because I've heard really good things. The wine pairing was really good though and we got to try some great wines. We loved the ambiance though and the staff were all incredible! Big shout out to Adam who really looked after us!

Christmas dinner 2024 - wonderful experience! Such a lovely atmosphere at this family friendly pub. The three of us all went for different options and each dish was delicious. The menu was well thought out and the ingredients high quality. Value was excellent but above all, the staff made the day extra special for us guests. If you’re looking for somewhere for a special occasion meal, look no further! We will definitely be back!
