Best Seasonal Restaurants in Mechanicsville

The Tea at Floris @ the VMFA is just lovely. This was our second visit. We were greeted warmly and seated at our table for 4 near the fireplace. Because we visited close to Valentine's Day, we were offered a special Valentine's Day menu in addition to the regular tea menu. We stuck with the tea menu but added a glass of Cava. We were celebrating a birthday and they were kind enough to bring a piece of red velvet cake to help us celebrate. It was moist and delicious. Our tea started with a pot of Masala Chai and a pot of white tea (cherry blossom) followed by freshly made (still warm) scone and walnut cranberry bread. These were served with their homemade elderberry spread. So delicious!! Next came the tea service - savory sandwiches and a small piece of quiche which was so creamy and eggy - amazing. The sweets on the tray were beautiful to look at and tasty to eat particularly the cream puff. Our server was attentive and knew the menu well. We can't wait to go again.

Everything was amazing! I had my 50th birthday brunch with my girlfriends there. We all had a magnificent time. The atmosphere was upbeat and friendly. The food was delicious. The waitress and servers were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the savory crane for birthday celebrations or to meet with friends for a festive meal in RVA!

Fall Line is a wonderful find in Downtown Richmond. Thought full menu , prepared with love. Everything we have had has been expertly prepared. The wait staff are friendly and well versed about the Restaurants services.

Great dining experience! Top for seafood restaurants and service. Thank you Katie. The oyster selections and smoked fish spread were excellent. Rockfish and Branzino also both excellent. Sancerre was best pairing. So the selections per course and the wine menu we not extensive but they did not need to be. Stick with what you do so well. The preparation was superb.

The Jefferson is one of the few places that remains as an example of old Richmond and I pray they never change. Just listen to the visitors from all over sitting around me and all you hear are people commenting to each other how delicious their meal is. My wife and I have enjoyed an evening there many times and I have tried several of the meals there. Every time it was exceptional. From their Tenderloin to their Rockfish, each meal was a special event. If you are looking for somewhere for a formal occasion like a special date, anniversary, etc. I highly recommend the Jefferson. It is a bit pricey, but the food and service is second to none.
