Best Seasonal Restaurants in Marpole

My husband and I always go out for brunch on New Years Day. This year we were very excited to try Victor. If anyone knows how to do a busy brunch it’s the crew at Victor. The food stations were very well maintained. The selections were plentiful and the service was top notch. The restaurant was beautifully appointed, the food was well laid out, we had a wonderful time. Great start to 2025. We’ll be back next year.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Story Cafe, and I must say, it was an absolute gem! As someone who grew up locally but now only visits once a year, discovering this restaurant was a delightful surprise. I first came here for brunch with a friend and was so impressed that I immediately decided to bring my family back for dinner. When we arrived, we encountered an unexpected situation where another group had taken our reservation, claiming to be us. Despite the mix-up, the staff handled the situation with utmost grace and professionalism, quickly resolving it and ensuring we were well taken care of. The food was outstanding—every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. My friends and family all thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the experience was nothing short of memorable. I truly hope that the exceptional quality of food and service remains consistent, as I can’t wait to return on my next visit home. Highly recommended!

Outstanding and unpretentious service. Fabulously friendly and caring. The "Happy Days" menu certainly keeps the cost very reasonable, especially for this high a level of tasty dishes. Both pastas we had, "spicy vodka" and "bolo" (pork/beef ragu) were delicious. We took the bolo home for dinner and it heated up with no fuss nor muss. Microwaving it to reheat without any additions whatsoever and it was perfect!! The burger is fantastic, dripping with yummy sauce and melted American cheese. Fries cooked well and totally addictive. And the bang bang shrimp to start were cooked beautifully with a wonderful spice level and a fine textural crunch. We were happy campers and will be back to try the rest of the menu. 😁

Authentic Japanese food - Gochisosama deshita!! The sake, the tuna and sockeye salmon were all DELICIOUS!

We love the variety of foods, excellent services, cozy place, and we enjoyed our dinner together with my family ! Very convenient if you will book ahead at Open table. You can also reshedule the time at the apps- or manage your booking at your own convenience.
