- BBarbaraVIPWashington, D.C. Area •86 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoA feeling of "Gay Paree" on Hilton Head Island! A warm welcome is given by the host upon arrival. Ambiance is elegantly comfortable, not stuffy. Water glasses are filled quickly along w/crusty French bread slices accompanied by pate and butter. The saucisse merguez was excellent. The special tilefish was awesome; the Steak Frites, a NY Strip steak was tasty and perfectly cooked accompanied by crispy fries w/a creamy aioli. The restaurant's spirited sommelier, Jean Pierre, patiently directed us to a wonderful pinot noir which paired well with both dishes. Service is professional and knowledgeable...Dom comes with years of restaurant experience and is the best! We have dined here many times and have always been well-satisfied with our experiences.More infoChez Georges Bistro & BarPrice: Expensive• French• Hilton Head Island•4.9
- GGeorgeSouth Carolina •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe were seated immediately afterarrival. David, our waiter, brought us complimentary champagne because we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. I ordered an appetizer of 6 oysters, which were excellent. For the main course, I had prime rib (rare, of course) and my wife had steak frites, which was also good. The portions were large! For dessert, we split a crème brûlée, which we normally do at Alexamder's. The service was quick and efficient; the food was very well prepared and presented. Recommend this restaurant highly.More infoAlexander's Restaurant & Wine BarPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Hilton Head Island•4.7

- MMaryAsheville / Western North Carolina •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoChristmas Eve dinner. We had a reservation and were immediately seated. The restaurant has a nice vibe. Fancy without being stuffy. We were sat in the main dining room which has water front views. Our waiter (I believe he said Kumar but my hearing is not good) was excellent. The food was really good. We started with honey lime shrimp & a bottle of wine Husband had flounder with a spicey vinaigrette with risotto and vegetables and I had the salmon Rockefeller with mash and asparagus. We both loved the meals we chose. Finished with Hummingbird cake (YUM!) and coffee. We enjoyed every aspect of our experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.More infoELA'S On the WaterPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Hilton Head Island•4.7
- LlucyVIPVirginia •74 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 23, 2024Return trip to this casual neighborhood restaurant with delicious food and excellent service (thanks, lori!). varied menu has something for everyone, they offer seating indoor dining room, in the bar area, or on a large outdoor patio. Our meals (including oysters, grilled fish special, seafood platter, ceaser salad) were excellent, a welcome, fun dinner after a long day of travelling. Plenty of parking nearby and - a bonus - Shelter Cove christmas decorations are quite festive! We could eat here every day...and we just might.More infoPoseidon-Hilton Head IslandPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Hilton Head Island•4.6
