Best Seasonal Restaurants in Atlantic Highlands

This was my first time at the rum runner, even though I’ve lived here in Monmouth County for 35 years. I’m not sure what I was walking into however, I must say the place looked wonderful. We were seated fairly quickly given that it was Thanksgiving day. The weight staff was personable and attentive. I enjoyed the food although I wish they would’ve had prime rib as one of my choices Instead of ham. I also wish they would’ve had dark meat instead of all white turkey meat, but that’s a personal preference. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Tonight is the first time I have had a hamburger here and as to be expected Peter’s recipe for the French Onion Burger is the very best I have ever had! Thanks Peter! And I was lucky enough to have my favorite cocktail … even though it was no longer on the menu! Thank you one and all for a wonderful dinner … and Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁

Had dinner with 6 friends, menu was delightful, food was delicious, service was excellent (thank you Chloe!) and drinks were fabulous. A very enjoyable experience.

Being a local for many decades, I can always count on excellent food & service at the Molly Pitcher restaurant. And today was another stellar experience. Being early in Thanksgiving week we had a coveted window seat on the water. Lovely way to celebrate friendship & all good things!

For us, this was a special occasion meal and the food and the service were top shelf. We were a little taken back by the sticker shock, but the drinks, steak, salad, lobster, and appetizers were so good, I can’t complain. However, we were very surprised by the dress of the clientele. People were wearing sweats and sneakers in what I consider to be a very expensive and high end restaurant. Our waiter Pierre was an absolute pro. This is not a place for me to frequent often but maybe once or twice a year for a special occasion.
