The River Cafe is my favorite restaurant in New York, and probably anywhere else too! The beautiful romantic atmosphere, amazing views, warm yet attentive service and truly exquisite food make for a perfect experience. It is a special occasion place, not for everyday, but we have celebrated our anniversary there several times (when in the city - we do not live in NYC), and this time it was our 50th. They did not disappoint! I hope I get to go back for many more special occasions. We took our adult son with us and he loved it as well.

I purchased a Happy Hour ticket which included an appetizer and 2 drinks along with admittance to the observatory. The honey sesame wings were very tasty and even being an appetizer was a sizeable portion. They also had a nice selection of cocktails and beers. The view was amazing from my window seat! I'd definitely go again.

Sweet place with a great atmosphere. Staff was friendly and attentive. Endive salad was superb. Octopus fresh and well presented. ONLY criticism- leave the croutons out of the squash soup- no need.
