Best Romantic Restaurants in Waukegan

We had a great time and great food. We did the, quite fun, Chef's Table experience. It was us two and the entire kitchen staff. The staff were having fun, working hard, and making great food. We started with a bruschetta, which was good. I had the Linguini with a mix of seafood and I asked for it to be spicy, and they did not disappoint. My Wife had the Pescedilimone, White fish with lemon and capers. It was terrific. We shared a Tiramisu that was good (I like the bottom saucy/wet). Our cocktails were quite good as well. I love that they are named after the local roller coasters. We are looking forward to going back and I want to try the Osso Buco and one of the yummy-sounding ravioli dishes. Danny the Manager was so nice and hospitable. I am hoping people really make this place their go-to hot spot.

Initial service was delayed but made up for with a very attentive waiter and our drinks were complementary. Loved the food choices we made.

Great decor and a fun experience for people and kids alike! The animatronics move every few minutes and there’s a giant tank arch you walk under. It is loud since they mimic a tropical thunderstorm and the animatronics make noise, so if your plan is a quiet dinner- this is not the place. But if you love to bask in wonderful atmosphere and heavily themed spots, you’ll enjoy. Rainforest Cafe is a delightful concept with yummy food. My personal favorite is surprisingly the Korean Fried Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Delightful gochujang and sweet and sour sauce over perfectly lightly breaded chicken with nuts. We followed it up with one of our favorites Pastalaya which is a buttery cajun delight with a kick! A volcanooooooo is a must for a rainforest cafe (though I am VERY tempted by their limited time Tsunami Cake and have plans to go back to get it). All in all, definitely worth a try at least once!

The waitress was attentive. The food was excellent probably the best steak I’ve had in a long time.  is it is pricey, but you’re going to pay for quality.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Did not expect to be the only customers at the time but it was just perfect . Ambiance was perfect to hear conversations without too much background noise .
