Our family was flying from Phoenix to Anchorage and wanted to stop and see my parents in Seattle… the Christmas dinner at Il Bistro was the perfect place to meet and enjoy time (and amazing food) together! But it required a lot of coordination, since our layover was only 4.5 hours - a tight window to get off the plane, into a cab, speed downtown, and get into the restaurant in time to meet my 80-year-old parents for our 5:30 PM reservation, and since reservations booked up so quickly, we had no room for error. Fortunately, Melissa helped us coordinate everything…it seemed the entire staff knew of our situation and was ready to help, treating my parents graciously, assisting them with nearby parking when they arrived, and seating them comfortably at our quiet corner table overlooking the restaurant so they could see us as soon as we came in. It was all great: fast service leading us to our table (reserved ahead of time), excellent food, great view of the marina and downtown Seattle, and the food was served at a slow speed so we could enjoy a 2 hour dinner with good conversation. The price was higher than what we usually experience when we go to a restaurant for dinner.
