Best Romantic Restaurants in Baldwin Park

When I walked in I immediately loved the ambiance. Playing 90's hip hop consistently through our dinner gets me every time. Great playlist. This was our first time at Omo, so I decided to go middle of the road with The Journey menu. It was excellent through and through - from the amazingly light and fried scallop to the Nanatsuoboshi Rice to the main event, the Wagyu, the amount of time between each dish was appropriate and every one of them delicious. I paired with wine while two of our friends paired with a non-alcoholic option (that was a tasty alternative). I added the truffle pasta option, which was a solid choice. We were moving along nicely - the entire visit lasted a bit over two hours. The dessert was awesome and we thankfully took the chocolates homes with us, because I couldn't eat anything else once we had the salty and sweet ice cream. It hit me all at the same time - stuffed. Next time I will try The Excursion, because there's no way I can have the same amount of food (or more). Loved it and will be back.

Loves: The ingredients and presentation feel intentional vs just doing something for an aesthetic on social media. Food Recommendation’s: Risotto - because when are you going to eat truffle anywhere else. Lobster pasta - because omg so delicious. Lamb chops- so tender and that herbaceous sauce was everything. Critiques: Sometimes the seating arrangements can be weird but the staff will gladly move you if they have an open table. They will package your leftovers but they forgot my sauce so maybe just make sure you tell them everything you want. The sound level can also make it a little hard to have an intimate conversation. Overall: The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are always fabulous! Make a reservation, even for weekday dinners.

Amazing experience. Food, staff, atmosphere were all outstanding. Staff made you feel important and answered all of our questions, even those not concerning the food. Food, just can’t compare it to anything else, I have never had such a flavorful and cooked to perfection steak as that. Atmosphere was great at 5pm. Quiet and calm. Best meal I have ever had.

My party of three was seated promptly. We experienced properly mixed craft cocktails and wonderful happy hour food offerings. My blue crab flatbread was light and savory. We shared the meatballs and barrata. Couldn’t have been better. Both were generously portioned. The service was cordial and very professional. We asked to get out in an hour to attend an event. They did not disappoint. I am putting this place on my go to list. They even validate parking. The best place near the downtown hospital district.

This was the perfect Christmas Eve experience for me and my daughter. Everything was amazing - the food (fresh, handmade pasta??? OMG!), the service (Jordy was truly a great server!!), and the ambiance was spot on. I can’t recommend this establishment enough!
