Our main courses were veal stuffed with spinach and cheese absolutely wonderful. Spinach and roasted potato side’s were very tasty -great. The other main course was the filet of sole. It was 5 star. Our server Nicole was outstanding. Extremely attentive had a through understanding of menu and specials. Overall a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. We passed on dessert as we were totally stuffed from dinner.More infoMamma Luisa Italian RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Newport•4.7
- JJosephGreater Boston •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoEverything was spectacular, from the crab cakes to the center cut filet (I recommend the bourbon cream as the sauce). Service was great. We went two days before Christmas so it was not very crowded. Great place for a special occasion.More info22 Bowens Wine Bar and GrillePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Newport•4.8
- LLouiseLondon •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoFood was excellent. We had the escargot, chanterelle, sole and duck, and shared a “must-save-room-for-this” grand marnier souflle. Service was outstaning as well. Our maitre d’ was polite, pleasant and attentive. Both the food and the check were prompt. My husband likes to judge a restaurant besides its food and service, by its restrooms: they were meticulously clean :). We drove 90 miles to come here, and would deinitely come back again, perhaps for an overnight stay with couple of days enjoying Newport.More infoChanterellePrice: Expensive• Contemporary French• Newport•4.8
- MMichaelaSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 1, 2024I took my boyfriend here for his 26th birthday dinner, with no regrets. Both of us deeply enjoyed the attentive service by Nick and the rest of the servers. Our food was delicious, inventive, seasonal, and fresh. A word of recommendation- definitely go for the halibut over the duck. Both were great, but the halibut was absolutely divine. We made the mistake of eating all of our bread before the tortellini arrived at our table. They graciously gave us another loaf to enjoy the full dish experience. (If at all possible, my boyfriend would greatly appreciate any help in recreating that sourdough.) Overall, a fabulous dining experience in a beautiful setting that has given us a memory we will cherish for the rest of our lives.More infoAurelia at Castle HillPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Newport•4.9
