Best Romantic Restaurants in Altona Meadows

There can’t be many better situated places in Melbourne, but what makes this place special are the owners and staff. The food is delicious without being overly ambitious, the wine list is surprisingly good (even if Tasmania and NZ are under-represented), and the tables will be a bit too close together for some, but on a happy summer’s evening, with the buzz of a relaxed evening out, we are already looking forward to an opportunity to go again. We’ve all been to places where the food is overthought and the staff performative and condescending and the bill a withering conclusion. Pipi’s Kiosk is refreshingly authentic.

What can I say other than WOW! I had high expectaions and the experience at Shelanous exceeded them all, and more. The service and attention to detail was impeciable, the food was outstanding and the atmosphare was high. Highly reccomended for anyone and everyone - treat yourself to an night of entertainment, laughs and high quality food.

Love love love The Pier, ambience, food, and service are all exceptional.. the mussels were especially delicious and steak juicy and tender even tho med rare… loved smothering my steak and chips wth the red wine jus… wish we had time for dessert!!!

We loved this neighborhood’s quaint charm and kind people- the staff were friendly and fun! Food was delish. Highly recommend esp to tourists who want a local feel.

Staff were great, really looked after us. Food was nice, it was a little load but the restaurant was very busy. Great day
