For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running fine dining restaurant in the city.Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood, and service. This consistent, high level of quality and overall guest experience over 4 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, business people, families, and loyal diners alike. The Precinct also offers a quaint outdoor patio area where guests may dine.

The Aperture, the first full-scale restaurant project from Chef Jordan Anthony-Brown. The menu reflects the concept of Mediterranean mezze style dining, consisting of many small plates, rustic in nature and reflective of seasonality and creates a natural progression and flow for the dining experience. The Aperture’s menu reflects three fundamental tenets: intention, balance, and focus. The menu - and its individual dishes - are approached with the objective of putting critical thought into every component, eliminating the extraneous, and ensuring a natural flow across the menu. The culinary program is heavily influenced by the cuisine of the broader Mediterranean region and the simple, seasonal cooking of Southern France, Italy, Greece, and the Levant. Our menu changes often and with the seasons. You can always find our current menu on our website www.theaperturecinci.com.

Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. The creation of the Matinee Performance, the regal guests Shires' hosted, an unsolved murder and other noteworthy events that took place at the original Shires' Gardens, are an inspiration to our program that we look forward to sharing with you.

We were seated in the bar area and it was pretty loud. Not too bad but noticeable. The service was impeccable as expected and the food was perfect. We both had the steak and lobster special. Both steaks cooked perfectly to our tastes. I don’t know how they season the steaks but the flavor is amazing. The lobster tails were cooked and presented beautifully. A very nice mid-week treat.

We visited Losanti as a date night and 26th birthday celebration. We can’t speak highly enough of the meal overall. From drinks to dessert everything was absolutely divine! We sat at a high top in the bar area, the bartender was also our server and she was insanely informative and knowledgeable of the menu and what the daily offerings were. She was also very attentive even though she was rather busy. The chicken Marsala was a 10/10, was a large portion and reheated nicely as leftovers. The 14oz ribeye was an 8.5/10 and also reheated rather well. We got mashed potatoes, truffle mac, and Brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were our favorite of the 3! For drinks we got French 75’s and Cincy Fizz, both of which we got 2 of, 10/10! If I can suggest one thing - BUTTER CAKE 🤤. We’re not typically ones for dessert but being a birthday we went for it. I’m not even going to try to explain the buttery goodness that it was, you just have to go and try it with the salted caramel gelato to top it. We can’t wait to go back!

Now our favorite restaurant! Discussing this survey, we (6 of us) and all agreed it deserves 5 stars in all areas. The suggestions on how and what to order was spot on. The food was delicious and we highly recommend pretty much everything. But we have to give a special shout-out to Jason. His suggestions were delicious but his care to the details made our evening more special. Our mother was having her 94th birthday and he went out of his way to make her feel very special. Thank you to Jason and the rest for sharing a special time with us.

My favorite restaurant! We've been here a number of times and have never had anything we didn't like. This time, we tried the Gem salad, and my boyfriend got the Gricia pasta and both were delicious. We always start with the Housemade Ricotta and we like to split the Meatballs with our pastas. You can't go wrong with the Limone, Pesto, or Butternut & Mascarpone either. Service is always impeccable, and the price is good for date night.
