Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in Oceanside

Absolutely love coming here! Laid back SoCal fine dining with exceptional food, flavors, and service.

We absolutely love the ambiance here! The design and layout of the entire place is beautiful and spacious. I feel like they need a couple more fire pits outside so stay warm by. Its nice to arrive early and have a cocktail from the market around the fires. Grab some farm fresh items and freshly baked treats, sweet little market. The Haven restaurant upstairs is very nice and the service is top notch. The food is most certainly farm fresh and prepared wonderfully. We loved the prawns and hummus apps. I would say the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the meat both times I've been here. The short ribs were dry and a bit gamey because its grass fed, carrot finished beef. And the pork belly was tough and chewy, not sure why on that one. I prefer both to be bit more tender and juicy. The wine list here is also fairly eclectic, perhaps a few more known wines could be added. Other than that we enjoy this place very much and will be back to try more dinners!

Had a delicious meal at The Plot! There were 6 of us for dinner so we shared a bunch of dishes which were all exceptional. From the risotto to the spicy beets to our mocktails (Dry January for a few of us) we were all delighted. Wonderful, attentive service in the very pretty space. If you haven't been yet-get there!

Never disappoints!! Tried fish tacos- grilled! Really good! Favorite there, however, is swordfish!

Unique and interesting food. Of our 4 dishes, two were great, 1 was alright 1 was not to our liking. Service was attentive and professional, ambiance was quite bare and utilitarian . Lots of sake choices, but quite expensive . Exhaust kitchen fan was quite loud, noticeable relief when it went off. Food was quite rich, tough to see how folks can navigate a 10 course tasting menu.
