- KKarineLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoExcellent. I have been there 30 years ago and it was a delight to go again it was a very nice experience. Loved the sand dabs fish and they serve the best mash potatoes! The steak fries are to die for. My son said it was the best New York steak he ever had. He was turning 14 years old. He will always remember Dear John’s and his bday celebration. The cheese cake was delicious. And the wine list is exquisite. I just can’t wait to go back !More infoDear John'sPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Culver City•4.7
- SStevenNew York City •10 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoVespertine delivered one of the most extraordinary dining experiences we’ve ever had in the United States, rivaling the caliber of Michelin three-star restaurants abroad, such as Boragó in Santiago. The food was a stunning combination of originality, flavor, and artistry, each dish a masterpiece that delighted the palate and the eye. Service was impeccable, with the timing of each course orchestrated to perfection. The building itself is a marvel, adding a unique and modern dimension to the experience. While the evening was nearly flawless, there were a few minor areas for improvement. The final dessert felt overly elaborate and heavy, making it challenging to fully enjoy at the end of such a substantial meal. The dessert room, located near the entrance, was uncomfortably chilly on a cool evening, requiring us to retrieve our coats. Lastly, the $20 valet charge came as an unwelcome surprise, especially considering the restaurant’s high price point and the fact that the parking lot is private and on-site. A clearer sign or complimentary parking would have better matched the overall premium experience. These small critiques aside, Vespertine was a truly unforgettable dining journey—one we would highly recommend to anyone seeking a world-class culinary adventure in Los Angeles.More infoVespertinePrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Culver City•4.8
- EEllenLos Angeles •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoI left my black leather gloves on a two-two at Terra's patio on 12/25 about 10:00 P.M. I've called and called. I've emailed. I even made faux reservations with the hope that the hostess will read and do something. What's wrong with people in hospitality today? Does the fish stink from the head down in this case?More infoTerra - EatalyPrice: Expensive• Italian• Century City•4.5
- NNicoleLos Angeles •10 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. There are so many "fancy" restaurants in Los Angeles where the food is disappointing, but this was not one of them. Having known about Republique for many years and seeing it on many "best" lists I was prepared to be disappointed, but it met my expectations. My parents and I were very pleased with our meal, the service, and the ambience which is beautiful. It qualifies as one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in Los Angeles, and is deserving of its designation as one of LA's top restaurants.More infoRepubliquePrice: Very Expensive• French• Hollywood•4.7
