Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in College Area

Fun place for innovated cocktails and very tasty shared plates.

Overall good experience. My pasta was bit thick and chewy for Italian pasta but sauce was delicious. The space is rather small with lots of tables so when the restaurant filled up the noise level made it difficult to carry-on a conversation at the table. Service was very friendly and professional!

I took my mom there last night for dinner. We are from Chicago and are no strangers to good food and Michelin-starred level dining. This was hands down one of the best meals we've both had in a long time. Get the hangar steak and lamp chops. The avocade labneh and hummus were beautiful too with locally sourced crudite. I also had the scarpinocc which was one of the best pastas I've ever had (even compared to what I've tried in Italy itself). We couldn't believe this place didn't have a michelin star yet but suspect that will change by the time we come back again. Next time we are in San Diego, this is the first stop we are making.

The food was great as usual, but it was very cold, even with our jackets on. This made it difficult to enjoy the meal.

We started our meal with the Moule au homard (mussels in a lobster bisque). The tarragon and cognac really enhanced the dish. Since black truffles are in season they were offered in their specials menu. We ordered the linguine with truffles. It also had chanterelles and was fantastic. I believe it’s the best “mushroom” linguine I have ever ordered. The house salad was the perfect compliment. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in our food and wine decisions. If we lived closer, I’d probably become a regular. Bien joue.
