Chef Frank Bonanno dug into his Sicilian heritage and east coast roots to create this authentic, rustic Italian eatery. Luca has amazing personal touches from the daily made breads and pastas to the meats and cheeses cured in house, to the charcoal drawing of Bonanno’s son (and the restaurant’s namesake) that hangs in the dining room.     Great place to go before a play at DCPA. Great good, outstanding menu and good service. We had the ceviche and gaucamole as appetizers and they were great portions and delicious. We will be back.

    Overall great experience. We kind of got off to a rough start with the host. we wanted to know if they had drinks while we waited for our table all he could seem to say is we have a lounge. We asked if there was a bar available while we waited he said all we have is a lounge. I asked are we able to get drinks he said we had a lounge not a bar. So we went next door and had a few drinks until we waited for our reservation. Then we came back in 15 minutes before a reservation he escorted us to the lounge and then asked us if we wanted a drink! But other than that it was a great experience great food great waiter! I think for a big event we will be back.

    We were the last table on a Tuesday night and you would have thought we were the first table on a Saturday night. From the complementary Prosecco to the fantastic Charcuterie board to the even better pasta(I’m from the east coast and it’s great pasta) Cat our server was the best.
