Inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Spain, Chef Matt Daughaday's inspired cuisine at Idol Wolf takes a playful approach to tapas style dining by combining local and seasonal ingredients with classic Iberian sensibilities. The menus seamlessly blend traditional takes on Spanish classics, with drinks and dishes that have a distinctly Midwestern point of view – the result is a shared drinking and dining experience that is uniquely craveable, and truly memorable.

When I opened my doors in July of 2009, I committed to serving the freshest Italian dishes made from local and seasonal ingredients. I learned early the heart of Italian cooking is the flavor…or sapore. My school of teaching was from the best; my Nonna Elena and Mother Lia. Their philosophy has been carried on in my style of cooking: use simple ingredients and the food will speak for its self. Classic Italian dishes grace the menu but are personalized with my unique touch. Quality and consistency is what you will find with each dish. I would never serve anything short of that. So whether you are looking for a memorable night out or a glass of wine with friends, I am glad that you have chosen Sapore. As in true Italian tradition, I enjoy bringing people together through food. Ciao –

Last night, my husband and I had the pleasure of dining here, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. As part of a 12-day culinary tour of St. Louis's finest upscale restaurants, we have been impressed by this establishment's exceptional offerings. It has undoubtedly become our favorite destination among those we have visited so far. The outstanding cuisine and service are a testament to the restaurant's excellence. Much Love, Ashley & Jason

This was our night out for Valentine’s Day. Sam, our waiter, was excellent- very knowledgeable about all the dishes and very pleasant. Crab dip appetizer and house salad were excellent. Fries, broccoli, and squash spaghetti also were super. Gave it 4 stars because the rib eye was ordered med rare which it was. Great flavor, but very chewy and grizzly. Caramel custard dessert was delish!

Idol Wolf is located in the amazing 21c Hotel and they have a fantastic free art museum open 24 hours. We arrived just before 5 for our reservation, before they actually opened and the host greeted us immediately and let us know they would be ready in about 5 minutes. We took the time to check out the museum and seated as soon as we returned. We both enjoyed the Idol Wolf Old Fashioned to start and had 4 orders of Tapas to share for our meal. All were amazing in flavor profile and presentation. I had been before, so I knew I would get the "Chorizo" Roasted Hen of the Woods: chorizo-spiced butter, arepa con queso, smoked aioli, and it was amazing. The portions were great and the food was delivered quickly. I will be back again.
