Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Los Alamitos / Cypress

A new gem in Long Beach. A cozy and intimate atmosphere. Nestled in the newly renovated City Center motel which transports you to a different era. We had the must have bread and butter and shared the beef tartare, mussels in a delectable broth, crispy sea bass and tender steak. All delicious and offered a variety of flavors. The cocktails were well balanced, and innovative. There are also crafted non-alcoholic options. The dinning room is on the smaller size so ideal for a date night or small dinner gathering. Noise level can get on the louder side if there are groups and a full dining room given the smaller space. Only noticed a few times. Overall, a great fancy date night!

Amazing creative food! Great service (Sue is awesome). Tangerine adds an automatic 18% gratuity which in our case was definitely justified because our server was great and I even added extra tip but gratuity should be left to the diners’ discretion based on their experiences with the server. Also the hotel have the restaurant validate parking for only two hrs which is inadequate between finding parking, walking in, walking out, finding the car, reaching the exit, and a leisure holiday meal. Should be able to get validation for three hours at least. Otherwise the food is delicious and creative. The salads are absolutely amazing. Our second Christmas there and will be back

Everything was great. Made the reservations that morning and it was Christmas Eve! We waited about 5 minutes for our table. Server was constantly asking us if we needed anything and was also patient since we were taking time to decide what we wanted! Food was good too! We’ll definitely go there again👍🏼👍🏼

Sunny Side Cafe has a lovely, bright diner layout with a great menu and amazing service! Too many great choices on the menu to name, but be sure to try the Key Lime Pie! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
