Travis and Ryan Croxton debut their spinoff from the highly acclaimed Rappahannock Oyster Bar at Union Market in Washington, DC. They’ve even brought their DC Chef, Kevin Kelly, to man the kitchen at this outpost. This location in the historic Cigar Factory Building on East Bay Street, allows room for Chef Kelly to showcase more of his cuisine to a larger audience, including an incredibly unique 40 seat raw bar. Oysters grown by the Croxton’s own Rappahannock Oyster Company are accentuated, but Kelly’s signature dishes like lambs’n’clams, crabcakes, shrimp & grits and the best po’ boy you’ll ever eat are enough reasons in their own right for constant visits.     Googled a breakfast place and Virginia’s on King came up first. It did not disappoint. The food was fabulous, the service attentive, and the ambiance traditional Charleston. We will be back and bring friends. Highly recommend anything that comes with grits or get them on the side. Crab cakes were delicious, full of fresh flavor. I can’t say enough about the wait staff. Attentive without being stalkerish and just down home hospitality. Thanks VoK for a wonderful experience!

    This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. Food was fantastic and a window table allowed us to look at the ocean while dinning. Will definitely be coming back

    Very amazing and relaxing experience!! The dishes were absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed our server describing them after placing the dishes on the table. It really rounded the experience and made it so interesting.

    Out of town colleagues and I had a wonderful dinner. Local fish of the day was a black grouper and it was delicious, fresh, and had a nice presentation. Another had the shrimp and grits. Biggest serving I’ve ever seen of that dish in this town. We started with raw oysters and they were on point! Decent wine list and our server,Joe, was fantastic. Don’t sleep on Rappahannock.
