Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Sorrento Mesa

Great day to have brunch at the Fairmont! Our server Besim was top notch, very polite and gave us great recommendations to order. Our family had a great time.

Jared, our server, was excellent! We began with cocktails. Great experience for New Year’s Day. Food was delicious and entrees were followed up with dessert & coffee. Two young gentlemen waited on us and they were delightful. Thank you Torrey Pines Grill. We will see you again.

The lobby was beautifully decorated for the season. The tea options were wide with oolong to herbal all laid out with matching tea pots, cups and saucers. The sandwiches were a modern take on the traditional ones with a sweet potato and maple, salmon with pomegranate garnish, and a turkey salad brioche. The vanilla bean and fruit scones served with strawberry-blueberry jam and clotted cream were excellent. The desserts were also beautiful and delicious.

The setup was great- not all tables filled at different times allowed for a more relaxed environment. There was no rush to have us depart after finishing our meal. Food was terrific, and service was very friendly and attentive. The $260 per plate makes this a one time event but worth it on that basis.

Food was exceptional! Planning to come back with entire family.
