Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Silver Spring

Our evening and dinners were superb. The ambiance was beautiful and service was excellent. This was my second time dining here, the first time was probably 20 years ago. My only disappointment was we were celebrating a 75th birthday, which they acknowledged when we walked in. They really didn’t do anything for the birthday except bring out a candle and four little gummy’s at dessert time. We had ordered a couple of desserts. You would’ve thought one of them could’ve been complementary or they could’ve brought out a regular dessert to celebrate with considering how much money we spent last night.

Experience was excellent-0one thing to mention the Japanese Wagyu was cooked to almost well done in one part-while I asked for it to be medium rare. They offered to redo it-it was two pieces, only one piece was well done. Other than that-it was lovely.

Tabard Inn is simply the best place to go for brunch/ lunch or a romantic date night dinner on a freezing cold winter day. An English style Inn with warm fireplace in the lounge area and many tables in various nooks and crannies of the dining area. Good bar, professional service and good food. We loved it.

Griffin was so helpful and recommended wine pairings and courses for us to try. He was very knowledgeable about the wines and answered all our questions. He wrote us a personal note congratulating us on our anniversary and engagement and really made the whole night very special. The food was very tasty and well worth the price. We both left stuffed and happy! Thanks for ringing in this new chapter with us.

It was an absolutely amazing experience. We were running a bit for our reserved time of 8pm, but they were more than accommodating. The atmosphere was cozy, and romantic given it was Valentine's Day. We were quickly seated and even though it was quite busy, we did not have to wait long for our server to hand us the Valentine's Day menu and take our drink order. The food was amazing, considering it was my first time experiencing French style cuisine. The server recommended a delicious wine to pair with the meal. I had the veal chop, and I can tell you it was the most tender, flavorful cut of meat I've had. The bill came out a bit steep, but nothing I wasn't prepared for with it being a fine dining restaurant. I would definitely like to experience their regular menu items and will make it a priority to return when I'm in the area again.
