- JJayVIPCleveland / Akron / Canton •26 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoA perfect way to celebrate a 97th birthday! Let’s begin with the menu, presented to us when we were seated. It was printed with an elegant welcoming greeting: “Happy Birthday, Lorry!” Rose, our server, guided us through the menu options. For starters, the fresh oysters were bright and perfectly presented, and the Caesar salads crisp with perfectly balanced citrus salt and richness. We ordered the Parker rolls and then another order. They are that good! For our entrees, the seared salmon was perfectly seasoned and fresh, the lobster tail generous and tender, and the tuna teriyaki seared and very fresh. The soba noodles were the perfect complement. As it was a birthday, a complementary carrot cake arrived with a candle, and we supplemented it with additional desserts from the menu: a fabulous cheesecake and caramel bread pudding. We were the last to leave and never felt rushed. The staff, in succession, wished us a wonderful evening. Well, the staff ensured us that it was a wonderful evening. With gratitude to all.More infoML TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Beachwood•4.8

- JJayVIPCleveland / Akron / Canton •26 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoDining at Edwins is always a delight! My shared dinner with two dear friends was no exception. It began with seating. My friend commented on how cold the night air was and if we could sit where it would be cozy. The host scanned the room of diners and decided, with a brief consultation, to seat us in the private dining area. We had the curtained room to ourselves, but service to our remote table could not have been more accommodating! In search of a wine, the chef, John, pulled himself from a busy kitchen to offer a single bottle remaining from an event he had hosted earlier this season. It was a superb Saint-Estèphe. So began a memorable meal that started with foie gras, perfectly seared, tender, and served with roasted apples and Calvados sauce. Sublime. The salad was a croquet of goat cheese with crisp fresh greens, and our three dinners were grilled rabbit, grouper, and seafood sausage in lemon butter wine sauce. Everyone was pleased with their choice. The food, wine, and conversation flowed with unobtrusive and impeccable service and a warm visit from the restaurant impresario himself, Brandon Crostowski. We were too full to try the desserts and were honoring our New Year's resolutions. We hope to return soon and maybe start with dessert?More infoEdwins RestaurantPrice: Moderate• French• Shaker Square•4.8
