We opened The 3rd BluWater Bistro location in the Leschi neighborhood on March 13, 2004. Mick McHugh handed the reigns over to us after 22 successful years of running the Leschi Lake Café. With a slight remodel we cozy'd up the place, added some fantastic rollback windows, high back booths, some flat screen TV's, and leather furniture by the fireplace. Creative, interesting food expertly prepared. The flavors were balanced and the chef showed subtlety. The server was excellent and made great suggestions for both the food and wine. We loved it and will be back. Wish it were a bit quieter.

We enjoyed dinner in celebration of my friend’s birthday. We noted that as we made the reservation, and asked for a table by the fireplace. The restaurant was completely and graciously prepared for us: the table was exactly where we requested; the menus already had happy birthday written on them; the weight staff was alerted that it was a birthday and acknowledge that; they brought a special dessert with a candle for the birthday celebrant; and the weight staff wrote a little handwritten note of congratulations. From the food to where we were seated, from the service to the tiramisu with a candle, everything that the staff did made my friend’s birthday a real celebration. Thank you, Piatti!!

We had the most lovely dinner with a view at Salty’s on recommendation of a local friend. The calamari is phenomenal and crab cakes were just ok. I wish they included bread for the price point. I had the Steelhead and really loved it, other diners in our party had the clam chowder and scallops and also said they were great. We were, unfortunately, too full for dessert. Service was excellent and the view was everything we were looking forward to.
