Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Flat Rock

The experience was everything. We enjoyed the service and food. The atmosphere was very peaceful.

Waiter was fantastic. The food was fantastic, the environment was very welcoming and warm and cozy.

Once again it was such a great dining experience. The staff especially our server engaged and gave us great recommendations for starters and entrees.

My college roommate form early 80's and I started reviewing restaurants in the Metro Detroit Area 4 years ago. We have hit 80% of all the top restaurants (over 120) and we both consider Café' Cortina in our top 2-3 restaurants. I am not sure that I would take children under 14 there, only because of the complexity of the menu/food, and it seems like most of the servers have strong accents that are not always easy to understand. With that said I love going there about every 4-5 weeks and trying something different each time. Last night I had lamb chops. They may have been the best I have ever had. I savored every bite. I have had lamb chops at many nice restaurants. There pasta's are all made in house and are always exciting to try a different one. Make sure you save room for desert, as their pastry chef makes some very unique and tasty treats. This is probably one of the least known restaurants in Metro Detroit, a hidden gem for sure.

When my family and I got there the employees had not set up yet. We were disappointed in that because we attend every year and this year was the first at this location. We were informed that they get reservations every year and no one shows up so that explained it. They were surprised to see us. The employees treated us amazing. The manager gave us free drinks and dessert. They really made us feel special. Can’t wait to go back next year.
