We opened The 3rd BluWater Bistro location in the Leschi neighborhood on March 13, 2004. Mick McHugh handed the reigns over to us after 22 successful years of running the Leschi Lake Café. With a slight remodel we cozy'd up the place, added some fantastic rollback windows, high back booths, some flat screen TV's, and leather furniture by the fireplace. The menu reflects all the goodness that a cozy bistro should offer, including the ever famous & popular "Lake Side Café" Fish and Chips... gotta keep the neighborhood happy. Creative, interesting food expertly prepared. The flavors were balanced and the chef showed subtlety. The server was excellent and made great suggestions for both the food and wine. We loved it and will be back. Wish it were a bit quieter.

We had the most lovely dinner with a view at Salty’s on recommendation of a local friend. The calamari is phenomenal and crab cakes were just ok. I wish they included bread for the price point. I had the Steelhead and really loved it, other diners in our party had the clam chowder and scallops and also said they were great. We were, unfortunately, too full for dessert. Service was excellent and the view was everything we were looking forward to.

The food was very good, large portions. Our waitress was very friendly and tentative. There was no wait time to be seated and our waitresses came over within 5 minutes (after we were seated) to take our drink orders. The food was flavorful (except for the stuffing, but then I only love my mom’s stuffing!😉). The Carrol singers were hard to hear although that may have been because the level of the noise from the crowd was a bit loud. The servers that brought our meals were very tentative and kind. Overall we all had a wonderful experience and we will definitely comeback for the New Year’s celebration!!!
