Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Pigtown

The food was really good but incredibly rich. I feel like they need a better balance of things that are rich and then light such as more salads for light vegetables setting and interior decorating was very cute but the chairs made absolutely zero sense. It was like sitting in someone’s living room the chairs were so low sunken Table above your chest, which was absolutely bizarre. Jonathan was so sweet but clearly overworked we saw a manager walking around multiple times and never once came over to ask how we were doing in our team dress when we asked where the bathrooms were.

Service was excellent, food was incredible! Beth greeted us warmly at the door and Camille and Isaiah took great care of us during our stay. We didn’t order cocktails today but bartender Jason came by to say hi and make sure we had a great time. We both had The Sammy, a wonderful english muffin breakfast sandwich with both bacon and homemade sausage and an egg fried just how I like. I specifically brought my guest here because he loves grits - Chef Dan’s are to die for. The stuffed french toast was absolutely decadent, and definitely contributed to my post-brunch coma. Overall a fantastic experience. We’ll be back soon to try the winter menu!

The Ambassador had gorgeous Christmas decorations. They said "no problem" when I asked to add 2 people.

What an absolutely amazing experience! I was ecstatic from the moment my reservation was made up to the actual date night. Everything was superb to include: the hostess welcome upon arrival, the beautiful candle lit ambiance, the waiter who was very polite and well versed in the products. He provided amazing food and beverage recommendations which were selected and appreciated. The presentation of the appetizer and entrees was awesome. My bae and I raved over everything while taking in the experience. As we completed dinner and prepared to leave; out came dessert, which was the highlight of the occasion. Upon making the reservation, it asked about a special occasion. All to say, it was Bae and I's 1st anniversary, OMG! The decadent dessert (cheesecake and raspberries) was embedded with gold candles, and a chocolate "Happy Anniversary" topper. As if that were not enough to create smiles and memories, Mr. Charles Levine, owner, visited our table and thanked us for dining at Citron. He cared to ask about our experience and even gifted us Citron memorabilia. You won't believe what happened next; we were adorned with some of the most delicious fine chocolates. Oh what a night!!! This by far was the best of the best. Bae and I plan to visit again in the summer to experience the outdoor dining and lake side view.
