- JJackieEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoDecided to try The Ship as it has recently reopened in the village. My mum and I were pleasantly surprised by the standard and quality of the food compared to the price. We booked a table for 6pm on the Friday between Christmas & New Year. Understandably it was relatively quiet with only another couple of tables occupied but it had a good atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. What a great eating place in a small village. As a family we wish them every success and we will definitely be back.More infoThe Ship ElswickPrice: Moderate• Pub• Preston•3.4

- DDeniseLancashire •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 17, 2024An excellent dining experience ! We have a Christmas dinner here every year, and it's so consistent. There are a few choices on the menu but we always opt for the traditional Christmas fayre - Prawn cocktail was served in a lovely sauce with crunchy bits, delicious, followed by an unusual Turkey Balloutine, really tasty with all the trimmings, nice cranberry sauce too ! Finished off with Christmas pud, sauce & ice cream , very yummy ! With our glass of white wine followed by a bottle of red, it was the perfect meal. Portions were just the right size, well cooked and presented with style. A lovely atmosphere and ambience, beautiful decorations, everyone happily chatting around you and enjoying themselves. Much credit to the staff who served us - smiling, chatty but still in their professional mode, nothing rushed, the right timings between courses, service was impeccable, in fact - Everything was PERFECT !! Thank you to The Grand.More infoThe Grand HotelPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary British• Lytham St. Annes•4.8
- LLizLancashire •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 13, 2024We had a fabulous meal here today. There was 8 friends who like to eat out on a regular basis. The food was absolutely gorgeous, I definitely recommend the beef steak. I tried the cauliflower starter to try something different and it was so tasty. Everything was perfect, the food, staff everything. We loved the pianist who made our afternoon very pleasant. We would recommend the white tower to anyone.More infoWhite Tower RestaurantPrice: Expensive• British• Blackpool•4.7
