Best Restaurants for Quiet Conversation in Hastings / Sunrise

The food and service was amazing! The only issue I had was that it was so loud that it was difficult to hear the server when we were speaking to each other. Keep in mind it was at 6pm on a Friday though, so I think more noise is to be expected at that time in a busy restaurant.

The Botanist was recommended to us by our nephew and since we were going to Vancouver we made reservations at the last minute. Brunch was the only meal available during our stay and we have zero regrets! The service was attentive, but not intrusive (shout out to Jess, who was friendly, professional and helpful - always able to answer our questions about ingredients and preparation style!). We opted for the full 3 courses and each was more impressive than the last. The aesthetics of each dish, the quality of the ingredients and the flavor profiles were absolutely delightful! Being able to enjoy the courses with a mimosa and a cocktail was a pleasant surprise, as well. And the drinks? Truly inspired! And then live DJ was a fun addition. We left feeling giddy, and it wasn't just the sparkling wine talking.... we felt welcomed, cared for and well-fed. Our experience at The Botanist was the perfect exclamation point on an already fabulous visit to Vancouver. We hope to be back again the next time we journey north ...

The calamari was excellent, the other food was decent, I would recommend getting cocktails elsewhere. The dining room itself is pretty tired and needs a major freshening.

This was the 2nd visit in person, and we realized we have used this restaurant for a work event, and each time it is delicious! Excellent service, very attentive and accommodating. The food is presented beautifully, and tastes so good! We had a variety of dishes and each one was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Another perfect execution by Lavidas 3 course meal Service Food Ambience Bam Bam Bam! Keep it up......our go to restaurant even though I have to drive 45 min to get there
