Best Restaurants for People Watching in Fridley

My wife and I did the Champagner Brunch at Baldamar on Nov. 23. It was fantastic; everything we hoped it would be. The wait staff was very well informed about the food and drink offerings, and provided us with valuable insight. The food was very good, though somewhat hit and miss. The Scallop and pasta dish was fantastic; we ordered it twice. The crab cake was more cake than crab. The calamari was very good, as was the lamb curry. The cocktails, and limitless champagne and wine, were great. They did not go cheap on their alcohol offerings. Bottom line, it was a memorable experience for our anniversary celebration, and well worth the expense.

Molly was great! Brought my kids here for pre-theater dinner and it was perfect. Good menu for my more adventurous and picky eaters. Service was well timed and everyone was super attentive. We will be back!

The food was good. It is expensive, and it was a little disconcerting when our waiter rolled his eyes when asked to box our one leftover. Valet was not available at the end of the evening (within the closing time) and we were told to find him in the lot in a car with lights on. The only car I could find was a couple making out. Clearly not our valet. And then he was rude. Disappointed.

Food was delicious and Emily was great! We will be back!

I can’t believe this place wasn’t packed. Our server was amazing! Super attentive and friendly. Food was excellent. Crispy breakfast potatoes with a cheese sauce. Yum! Yall are sleeping on this one!
