Best Restaurants for Groups in Augustenstraße

Wonderful time here…food and beer were excellent, but service was better. Took care of us throughout, and the manager (I didn’t get his name, darn it!) gave me a wonderful glass and a special gift after asking if they sold them (they don’t, but should!)😊. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome on a sunny Christmas Day and we will be back to Lowenbrau should we get back to Munich again. Thank you!

My family of 3 shared Christmas lunch at Brenner this year while visiting Munich. It was easily one of the best meals we’ve ever had, and certainly at Christmas. We were seated by the pasta kitchen, so got to watch many of the dishes being made before we ordered. Every dish we had was lovely: beef with potatoes and béarnaise, tagliatelle with beef ragout, grilled prawns, crème brûlée, apple crumble and home made bread. The service was excellent, the restaurant beautiful. We really enjoyed this lovely surprise. Thanks to the restaurant staff for working through Christmas. They made the occasion very special for us.

Our lunch at Shimai was absolutely delicious. The chicken wings and special duck buns were amazing as was the miso edamame guacamole. Plus the atmosphere was cozy and quiet, perfect for a Sunday lunch in November. Our server was kind and attentive. We highly recommend this little gem in Munich!

The restaurant is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and fun. Appetizers and main course fantastic. The dessert was a bit strange but maybe I'm not used to that kind of taste. I must mention the wines are of high quality. We are already planning to visit the restaurant again.
