Best Restaurants for Groups in Maple Lawn

Went on Thanksgiving day - preferred non-traditional experience this year. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating.

Smashing grapes was a smashing success! The ambience was lovely, the food was better than expected, and the service was superb. We’re not much of a wine drinker, but the offerings were top-notch and chosen with care. All in all a must try!

There was something in the air that caused some of the mis-steps at the restaurant. Our vodka tonics didn't have tonic, the lobster arrived without the appropriate lobster cracker and we had to wait for over 20 minutes for our entrees. We give high praise to the lobster dinner & the lobster roll. The raw oyster appretizer was shucked properly and was tasty. We've been to the Tun House on many occassions & this was the first time things were off kilter.

Excellent food and service! We had an 8:15 reservation, and the restaurant was packed with several parties waiting at the hostess stand. We went to the bar and had a seat, ordered drinks. Excellent service there as well. Very comfortable bar, so no problem that it took longer than quoted time. We were seated and after we ordered, the manager came to apologize for the wait in seating us. He offered to comp appetizers. Honestly, I have never had a manger come to apologize, much less offer something for a late seating (especially when we weren’t complaining at all). Top service tonight-one of our favorite places!

This is a fun place for a date or to celebrate a birthday (that’s why we were there). You should probably count on at least 2 hours for dinner if you want to do the full experience - which you should because it’s fun! The quality of the food is very good. The service is fine, if a little distracted. This is not something for every day or if you’re grabbing a bite before a movie, but it makes for a fun evening with good food.
