- JJanisVIPPhiladelphia County •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 23, 2024Piccolina Toscana has been a favorite restaurant of mine since they first opened decades ago. Food is consistently good, new items often appear on the menu and the preparations are always flavorful and interesting. When newcomers move to or visit Wilmington and ask for a restaurant recommendation, I always refer them to Piccolina Toscana because I know they will have a memorable experience. Pasta's are phenomenal, thin crust pizzas are savory and delicious, fish dishes are cooked to perfection and side dishes are always interesting Dan Butler, owner and chef, takes pride in his restaurant and knows what his customers like. He has great take out menus, does catering, and tonight in honor of an Italian Christmas tradition, he included a pre-fixe "Feast of of the Seven Fishes' to his regular menu which is what I ordered. From the tuna tartar to the cod in lemon and the house made fettuccini with spinach, each bite was bursting with flavor. Thank you Dan Butler!! You always get it right!!More infoPiccolina ToscanaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Wilmington•4.5
- LLaurenPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 18, 2024This is a spot that I've been covering a visit to fire a long time and it didn't disappoint. The cocktails had a nice punch but didn't bowl you over with the distinct burn. The seafood tower was fresh and paired with the most amazing sauces. The steaks were so tender, I barely needed a knife and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were so light but flavorful. Then the creme brulèe was prepared with such thought that every bite was crisp and accompanied with a silky cream. Paired with the latte, this was a prefect meal in a beautifully curated atmosphere with the most charismatic and timely service provided by our server, Teddy. This is the perfect venue for a date night or big event, don't miss out on Tonic!More infoTonic Seafood and SteakPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Wilmington•4.5
