Bayberry Hollow’s journey began in 2011 whilst strolling through the picturesque village of Tanfield. We fell in love with, what was, the village pub; The Pack Horse. Here at Bayberry Hollow our ethos is simple... Great tasting home made dishes in a relaxed dining environment with welcoming service. Our food menu is not huge, but there will be something on there that everyone will love. Please note serving times for food:Breakfast: Sunday-Friday 10am-11:30am & Saturday 9am-11amLunch Sunday- Friday 12pm- 3:30pm & Saturday 11:30am-4pmWe still serve our Coffee, Scone & Cake menu but on a walk in basis only. No reservations for this, you will be charged for this. All of our team are from the local surrounding area and we all pride ourselves in making each of our customers welcome and appreciated. Our newly refurbished bistro provides the perfect destination for you to relax with friends and family, we are looking forward to welcoming you in store soon!

The Derwent Arms in Edmundbyers lies amongst stunning countryside, bordering both County Durham and Northumberland. A stone’s throw from Derwent Reservoir, Derwent Waterpark, and situated along the coast to coast cycle route, we are surrounded by endless breath-taking views and perfectly situated to explore everything that these two beautiful counties have to offer. With a roaring log fire in the winter and ample outdoor space in the summer, The Derwent Arms provides the perfect place to kick off the walking boots and recharge after a day spent exploring or making the most of the first class grouse and pheasant shooting in the neighbouring areas. With traditional menus focusing on seasonal and local produce, and plenty of local ales available; come and visit us for an afternoon, Sunday lunch or stay all week. We are dog friendly and have six cosy bedrooms available all with their own en-suite and a separate apartment available for families or groups of up to six people.

Such a beautiful little gem. It has such a magical Christmas vibe in the shop with lots of Christmas decorations, jewellery, candles, clothes and handbags to purchase, through to the amazing food. We arrived early for our table but the lovely staff member found us another table so we didn’t have to wait around. I ordered the pie and chips with veg and, wow is all I can say. I would say that you need time to rest afterwards as the portion sizes are huge. Very good value for money. Can’t wait to go back. If you haven’t been there before, you must visit.

Some different options on the menu. The quality of the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and polite. It was our first visit but will definitely go again.
