Dining at the Pandora is a real treat. Not only is food served all day, but you have lots of choices where to eat it too! Inside, the ground floor of the pub has plenty of cosy nooks and corners with plenty of secluded areas for you to dine. Outside you can eat at tables overlooking the water’s edge, or dine ‘on the water’ itself – seated on our pontoon. Back inside, the Upper Deck dining room is a beautiful vaulted space that can accommodate larger groups and parties. The Pandora Inn has an extensive award-winning menu that changes with the seasons. We have a specials board that changes daily and always features fresh, local fish. Whether you want a sandwich, a light bite or the full-three courses, you’ll find something to whet your appetite.

Set on Mitchell Hill, a medieval route from the city of Truro to the East, in a quiet, historical quarter, The Rising Sun is the hub of the local community and a destination for visitors to the county. Surrounded by charming lanes with views to the cathedral, diverse historical buildings, an abundance of trees and greenery.Seven years ago Katie & Tom Hannon stepped into a very dark and sad shell of a pub. An overwhelming amount of work paled into insignificance against the excitement at what they thought could be created in this out of the way building with a very long and interesting history. A lot of hard labour ensued to create their vision of showcasing the best qualities of a modern pub; seamlessly combining carefully sourced, sophisticated yet familiar food and drink in a welcoming authentic pub environment. Elegant, delicious food alongside fantastic local beers, unusual wines and a great array of craft spirits all wrapped up in a relaxed atmosphere.

Tried The Longstore after it was recommended by a colleague. First impression was great, a large woodburner keeping it warm, comfortable chairs and a very nice staff. Although the music was to our taste, it was a tiny bit too loud but they happily turned it down a notch on request. The food was outstanding. We had scallops to start, then Rib Eye steak. I asked to have an extra salad rather than the bits that came with the steak and I must say it was the most delicious salad I have ever had and a massive portion too! I hardly ever tip, but today they got a well deserved 10%. Definitely going back!

Fabulous food - the fish pie is really gorgeous and is very popular. The staff are all fantastic - welcoming, warm and very helpful. Atmosphere of the building is cosy and the beams are fantastic although ducking may be required in places! A walk down the pontoon to look at the river and watch the wildlife is a must, even in chilly weather. Car park spaces are limited but everyone seems to manage fine!

Had such a lovely time for my birthday, the team working in the restaurant and bar were probably the most professional, knowledgeable and friendly team working anywhere I’ve been for dinner in a very long time , as well as the team at the tartan fox. It makes such a difference and we really appreciated how kind they all were. Thankyou for a lovely evening. Hopefully We’l be back soon, emma PS our waitress was amazing definitely an asset to the team :)
