Best Restaurants for Groups in Aliso Viejo / Laguna Niguel

This restaurant has been so amazing over the last week. I’ve been helping many families that are evacuated from the buyers or lost her homes and we’ve been going over to starfish every other day for amazing meals. The staff is incredible. The manager is so accommodating and everybody there Are just really good people. The food is incredible and there’s nothing I have ordered that. I don’t love. I will be going back there on a regular basis. It’s hard to believe this little place is tucked into a strip mall next to CVS, but it is a gem and not to be missed.

Delightful experience ona Monday. Lunch enjoyed - Quiche Lorraine and The Triple Crown. Scones with jam and cream are the best!

I’ve been a patron of this restaurant for 25 years, experienced many staff, chef changes, renovations, changes to the menu, my past visit was honestly one of my absolute favorite. The last time I visited this restaurant was 2019, just before Covid for Mother’s Day brunch. Now, the prefix brunch is much better. The taste and presentation of the food is great! There were times in the past where the food experience would lack, but you would write it off as you were paying for the view. Now, you’re paying for good food with a side of the view depending where you’re seated. Highly recommended lobster enchiladas, very tasty, not over cooked or rubbery. Also recommend salmon Benedict. Hollandaise sauce is scratch made, perfect pairing with the brisket, which is not chewy, but crisp, pulls apart well, slight crunch but not overpowering, and a poached egg that is still runny and oozes once broken by your fork. The salmon topping this dish tasted fresh and flavorful, which incorporated nicely into the meal. For desert they offer flan or sorbet, choose the sorbet, its flavor, composition and presentation were perfect, light but yet packed full of flavor; coconut, mango and pineapple. Get there early on a Sunday, request a window seat and relax with great company and an amazing brunch. Was seated at the table for 2 hours and we never felt rushed, however we were there early. Beginning at Valet, through the Stunning entrance framing the Pacific, it’s a quick elevator to the Loft Restaurant. The reception staff met us with smiles and sat us at a lovely table on the deck, above the pool. The day was clear, cool and sunny. Every member of the wait staff was delightful and helpful. ( no one said, I’ll get your server, they simply helped) very impressive. The food was, as always in our experience, stellar! The lovely server explained the dishes and helped us choose a meal cooked to perfection and delightfully seasoned. There was a fabulous sauce that the perfectly grilled salmon, crisp on top and tender inside, was served on. The sauce was unique in a wonderful way. There were cooked lentils mixed into a sauce of blended golden raisins and a light green curry. The Chilled Lobster Salad with bits of fresh grapefruit on baby butter lettuce was so refreshing on a sunny day. Our server was perfection, as were her assistants. Well presented small basket of breads, thick square of butter with black Icelandic Sea Salt, as we decided on meal. Excellent wine list and perfect Grey goose martini. The server never rushed us, continued to fill water, check in with us offered desert and actually contacted Valet that we had finished! It was a very hectic time at Montage Laguna. With fires raging in La they opened their doors and helped families with children and animals relocate to their property. It was a zoo, not one member of staff, valet, front desk, housekeeping or food services acted hassled or put out. There were children running around the pool area and grounds. The pets were all on leash. We noticed staff smiling at children, putting water bowls in front of dogs and even a cat on leash at pool. We commend the Montage Resort and other places in Laguna trying to house and feed displaced families with such kindness.

Great brisket sandwich and veggies. Rooftop is very nice and quieter. Umbrellas and headlamps too. Great/friendly service from Jamie.
