Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.     Bar Isabel is a great vibe. It's crowded noisy and wonderful. The food is unmatched. My dining companions were just in Spain and felt they never left and the food was better! We started with little pepper apps think fresh peas in a pod salted. Then we had a toast bread with gorgeous Spanish prosciutto then croquettes made with bechamel and bits of ham - wow . Then came the octopus melt in your mouth with some creamy sauce. Then we had the most tender pork sliced with a sort of bok choy side and steak cooked to perfection. All small shareable portions so you never felt too full. Then we tried the desserts one a sort of chocolate hazelnut mousse cake the other a vanilla sponge with warm heavy cream. This was heaven. Everyone on this little bar were enjoying their food and company. The wait staff were very professional without being stuffy. All in all this was a gastronomic delight. Should out to Olivia and the team who made our evening fun.

    It was perfect - they could do a bit of work on the entrance when you first walk in...it looks a bit dingy, industrial with an old looking elevator going up but as the doors open you are pleasantly surprised. They didn't have room at the bar and seated us against the window - which was OK too. Once we got to the main dining table, it was so nice! A very quaint comfortable and cozy environment. It was our engagement anniversary and there was a personalized note left for us at the table congratulating us, it was such a sweet gesture <3 Each food item was like a party in my mouth! With amazing fresh rich taste of all different types of flavours! We loved everything we ate. It was so beautifully presented as well, there was some items you just wanted to look at not and eat! The service was beautiful, it just flowed so smoothly, with each server explaining properly what was in each course. I think we had like 11 courses....they just kept coming! We loved every moment of it. This restaurant truly deserves a 2 Michelin rating. Looking forward to coming back :)

    Lucie is a gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. Chef Arnaud took us on an amazing journey! Each dish was a symphony of flavors, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with passion and precision. The service was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Every detail, from the ambiance to the wine list, added to an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a dining experience that is truly exceptional.
