- BBrianLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoEverything was good but the service. It was sprinkling outside and it started to come down harder. We asked our server if we go move inside. He didn’t seem to care much. When another server or hostess came by we asked her and we immediately got moved inside as it started to rain. Our server also forgot to input our bone marrow appetizer as that came in last. I had to remind another server or floor manager about the issue. Again our original server never bothered to check on us. We got moved to another section with another server. She also didn’t care much. I had to wave her down a couple times or even ask the food runner to ask. I understand Bestia is busy and chaotic. I work in the good industry as well. But if I’m paying for my food + your 4% I’m expecting a good serviceMore infoBestiaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.7

My boyfriend and I got baked crab roll, shrimp skewer, baked cod, uni pasta, scallop nigiri, and four different drinks. We loved everything that we ate! The fish tank was really nice to look at too! All the servers, bartender, and hosts were alls so very friendly. We cant wait to come back next time!More infoMrs. FishPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Downtown•4.5
- SShaunavipLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis place is absolutely my favorite restaurant in LA! Every dish on the menu is delicious. You just can’t go wrong with anything!! My favorites are hummus with pita, king oyster mushroom kebab, grilled prawns, and whole lamb rack. The pita bread is freshly baked and it’s so soft that I want to scream when I dip it in the hummus! The mushroom kebab has a good balance between the smoky flavor and fresh lemon zest on top. The avocado sauce on the bottom also has a refreshing touch to it. And the whole lamb rack - you need to order this. Period. Unfortunately, they don’t have the braised beef cheek with coconut rice anymore… But they now have pomegranate sauced ox tail, which I need to try next time I go. Service is good. My server always checks to make sure everything is good. Every dish is introduced and explained when they are presented to the table. The atmosphere is great as well. The patio seating has heaters on so you don’t get cold at night. I absolutely enjoy every single bit of my dinner at this place every time! Not to mention I really like their hand soap… I need to get those for my own place.More infoBavelPrice: Expensive• Middle Eastern• Downtown•4.8
- EemilyLos Angeles •9 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 17, 2024I took my mom here for her birthday who is half Japanese and she had a wonderful time! We all really enjoyed experiencing flavors that were unique and fun to share with each other. We all ordered the omakase and ordered the almonds and chinmi separately. Maybe the only ding in the experience was the servers mispronounced omakase, which was weird considering it's a high-end Japanese restaurant. They don't put the emphasis on "ma", rather they make it sound like kamikaze which is off-putting at the ordering stage. I loved the Grilled California Holstein Beef Strip the most. It was so simple to look at, but the flavor of the beef with the salt crystals was divine. Loved the fresh seaweed shot with grapes! This made all of us say Wow! The omakase came with a mackerel sushi roll which wasn't on the menu, but it was a flavor bomb. The steamed rice was beautiful with the pork jowl. I could eat that rice on its own though! The miso soup was super tasty! I would skip the shiitake tempura but it's part of the omakase. Too oily, don't eat the whole thing. The new katsu with wagyu beef is a huge amount of food. My mom ate 1/4 of it and had to take the rest home, but my boyfriend ate the whole thing! The cocktails were fantastic, along with the sake pairings throughout our meal. The bartender was stellar. Loved the Yuzu Reviver (vodka) and the Old Fashioned. We left feeling full and satisfied, but not stuffed. It was all delicious! Expect a 2 1/2 hour delectable experience! Enjoy!More infoShibumiPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Downtown•4.4
