How on earth could this restaurant not be at the top of the Michelin Guide list for Houston. No place around here can be better!

Everything was going great until our server disappeared When we were ready to leave , he was nowhere to be found. He finally came out and we asked him for the check and he disappeared again. We finally had to find a manager to her our check and waited five more minutes to get it. It left a disappointment at the end of an amazing dinner.

The service is always exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring your visit is nothing short of amazing. The food is simply incredible—there’s a wide selection of meats, including various cuts of beef, lamb, shrimp, and pork, all perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. One of the highlights is the endless supply of food. Servers consistently come around offering small bites of everything, ensuring you get to sample the full variety. It’s a feast that feels both indulgent and exciting! That said, we did notice an unexpected price increase for the Christmas Eve dinner. There was a $30 holiday upcharge that we weren’t aware of beforehand. While the food and experience were worth it, a heads-up about the holiday pricing would have been appreciated. Overall, Chama Gaucha remains a top choice for a special occasion or a memorable dining experience. Great food, fantastic service, and an enjoyable atmosphere make it well worth a visit!

Great selection and value for Christmas Eve dining! Wonderful rich lobster bisque with chunks of meat to start,followed by an 8oz filet mignon with crabmeat lumps. Other great choices as well. Personal service by U.T., our smiling waiter. Excellent wine choices with a wide price range. We had a nice quiet booth and went early before it got too busy. Impressive.

I really like the menu. It has a little bit of everything. The ambiance is pretty. But I must say above all the service was excellent! Ask to sit in Kyla’s section. She is so nice so attentive. She smiled the whole time and it was busy when we arrived. She made my experience even better! Thank you!
