We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish.     Waiter (Jack) was prompt and efficient. However, our desire was to have a leisurely Christmas Eve dinner, but Jack explained that Chef wanted orders filled before finishing our starter and our cocktails. And sure enough along came our entrees! It was all about turning tables for the establishment ! Will never reserve at Nick & Sam’s on Holidays!!

    My husband and I left dinner last night and couldn’t stop talking about how great it was. First of all, the inside is decorated so wonderfully for Christmas… it’s just beautiful! The service was beyond what we’ve had at any other restaurant in the DFW area. Now let’s talk about the food! I don’t even know where to start. We ordered 7 different items and each one was amazing!! My husband said “I think this is the best dinner we’ve had since moving to Texas!”, and that was 6 years ago! 10 out of 10! We will be back!
