Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. The creation of the Matinee Performance, the regal guests Shires' hosted, an unsolved murder and other noteworthy events that took place at the original Shires' Gardens, are an inspiration to our program that we look forward to sharing with you.

Since 2007, Nada has been delighting guests with craveable twists on the classics and border-blurring dishes inspired by food from around the globe. Nada has expanded to Columbus, Indianapolis, Nashville, and their first east coast installment in North Bethesda, MD. Went for brunch today (11/24/24). We got there 1/2 hour early and were seated within 10 minutes at a table we requested. We were greeted immediately by our server (Dawn) who was extremely pleasant and friendly. She told us they had carved turkey today since Thanksgiving is this coming week and that it was amazing. She was certainly correct. Everything on the buffet was perfect. Their wonderful fried chicken was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I have to say it is probably the best fried chicken in the area. The carved turkey was tender and moist with home cooking flavor. Corn souffle, dressing, gravy, green beans - all wonderful. Sorry for all the adjectives but they are all applicable. Had some of the breakfast items as well. Good scrambled eggs, my husband liked the bacon - it was a thicker type than I like but still high quality. Loved the sausage gravy but the biscuits seemed a bit dried out - this was the only item that fell short. The broccoli salad was outstanding. Had blueberry bread pudding and chocolate chip cookies for dessert - again great. I cannot believe they are able to put out such a spread for $25/person. We will be back again and again.

The calamari is always excellent maybe the best in Cincinnati. Service was slow but the restaurant was packed and everyone was getting in the spirit of the holiday. We did not have anyplace to be after dinner so relaxed and enjoyed the buzz. We had 3 different veal preparations - all were fantastic. The green beans were excellent (when is the last time a review mentioned the side vegetable?) The polenta was disappointing. The prep does not allow the dish to shine which was too bad because a creamy version would have been great with the veal. Not a real problem, just not taking the opportunity to shine. The salmon was also outstanding. Molly was a great server. Attentive but not intrusive.

Always delicious, relaxing, accommodating with great service. Never disappointed. Menu is creative and seasonal. Love the pick three option and we always do that to get a broader sampling of the chefs creations. Last night we got into a real traffic mess and were quite late and they were so gracious when we finally showed up!

Delicious and great atmosphere. Came here on a whim and enjoyed everything. I had the spinach & artichoke dip which was delicious, and the beignets were better than I expected! Just came in overnight and would absolutely go again next time I’m in town.
