Opened in 1986 by Uli Blume, it was one of White Rock's original waterfront restaurants and quickly became a favourite among locals for its great food and friendly atmosphere. The Old Surrey Restaurant is Surrey’s best well- kept secret. Built in 1918, it was the residence of Lou Jack and his household until it was converted into a restaurant in 1974.The interior has a crisp, clean aesthetic that is enhanced by hardwood floors and the enlarged photos of historic Surrey that adorn the walls. There are five distinct dining areas on the top floor (including a cozy library) and a banquet facility downstairs. The cuisine is French with a splash of West Coast flare.     A special occasion made “ most special “ by a great welcome , window seats of our choosing , excellent server , and the King Crab legs dinner that my wife and I both ordered was perfect in every way ! The Boathouse White Rock has been over the years our “ go to “ celebration restaurant in town …. And never disappoints! Ty for another memorable evening 😊😊🍷🍷

    We’ve been coming to Uli’s regularly for over 11 years now. Although we moved out of province over a year ago we are back often and ALWAYS come back to our Favourite restaurant with our Favourite people at Uli’s. Simply the best!! (Tina Turner singing in the background)

    Our server Riley was incredible. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and we were treated so wonderfully. Riley also took a lot of care as I have some dietary restrictions that caused me to ask a lot of questions. We felt very taken care of. The food and drinks were wonderful, the service was incredible and we would definitely go back. It was a bit noisy but we were still able to talk and had a wonderful time.
