Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Margate

I haven’t been in Sofia’s since our wedding that we celebrated there - it is a bit far from where we live, but this place has a huge sentimental value to us. Spending almost every summer in Greece, I can attest the food is authentic - the best tzatziki and moussaka I’ve had in my life. The food is certainly giving you that “welcome home” comfort. The Chilean Seabass from the Valentine day menu was outstanding, just perfect! Applause for the kitchen staff! Knowing the restaurant business very well, this place runs like a well oiled machine! Service was attentive and kind enough but not overwhelming, and this is a tough balance to achieve. Our servers were amazing - food was arriving timely, everything was at perfect temperature, we mixed the regular and Valentine’s Day menu items, adding wine flights to accompany - the wine selection was curated to perfection. The ambience is one of its strengths and can easily make you feel as if you’re somewhere in the Mediterranean. Overall, this was a spectacular experience in every aspect, and we surely be back. We went for a nice Valentine’s Day Dinner . Our reservation was at 3:30 , however, we arrived much earlier at 1:00 o’clock . We went to the bar for a drink and they seated us early at 1:30. Drinks, food, waitstaff, everything was great. We were happy there was a lunch menu so the portions were better for 2 people.

Our meal consisted of appetizers and drinks. The raw oysters were so delicious we ordered them twice The chef was kind enough to make us our favorite SHRIMP TEMPURA. Our server Victoria was very professional and explained all the specials. Even our drinks were splendid. It was a wonderful dinner

My filet and lobster tail were excellent. My husband had the onion rings and lambchops. He say the onions were excellent as were two of the lambchops. 3 lambchops were Very tough di he didn't est them. Wr did take them home but they were to tough to est so they got trashed. We love Mortons and will still return in the Spring to try it again.

The stuffed dats appetizer was delicious. My husband enjoyed the special seafood fra diavalo and I loved the short rib. The only thing missing on this cold night was a cappuccino. Service was excellent and the ambiance was perfect! All in all, a perfect evening.
