Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Mottram St Andrew

Wonderful place, ambience, service, food and value, but.... whilst the food was spectacularly delicious, it way very luke warm. I don't expect my lunch to arrive at the table as if straighr out of a kiln, but both courses were, to my taste, pretty cool, even, I might say, cold . Had I not been in an important business meeting, I would have sent both courses back. Other than that, which to be honest, is fundamental to my own personal enjoyment, the meal was very pleasant.

A family get together (5 diners) on a Friday lunchtime. Good service and food enjoyed by all. Ambience was good but the restaurant was not busy. The second time we have dined here and both times have been excellent.

Aamchi Mumbai is my go-to Indian restaurant, and the place where I take friends and family because I know they will enjoy it as much as I do. What I like is a) there's a very good range of vegetarian meals b) you aren't overwhelmed by a huge selection - they do a limited number of dishes, but do them well c) you aren't going to be put off by a good sounding dish that shows 4 chilli peppers and might be too hot - they concentrate on flavour rather than trying to impress with heat d) the owners are Indian and are passionate about what they do. I've never had a bad, or even slightly off meal at this place. The food has always been to a high standard and the service excellent.
