Best Restaurants for Anniversaries in Mira Mesa

We had a reservation at 800pm after sunset. We were not able to get a sunset reservation just hard to get. Don't worry they have lights shining into the ocean so you see the waves coming in even after dark. The service was great and just a nice place. Food was good not great but good. This is a great spot for a date or couples to enjoy the drive from San Diego to a nice place to enjoy the company.

It was a Sunday evening at 5:45pm and the restaurant was PACKED. After enjoying a sumptuous Italian meal, I can understand why. It started with Rosina coming by our table to tell us about the specials for the evening. My partner had the special ravioli and it was incredible. My entry was also excellent, flavorful and fresh. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The table next to us told us that they come here three times a month. That also says something for their food. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu!

I love this location. It couldn’t be better to see the waves and the beautiful sunset and the happy people all around down at the beach. The only thing I wish is that the food had less added sugar. I felt the hidden sugar ruined the wonderful food. We Californians don’t like all the unneeded carbs on our plates. But the cool building, the sunset views, and the nice waiter, was all quite lovely.

Great experience! Food did not disappoint and did not feel overpriced. Heard wonderful things about the service which was a little bit slow for us but it was Valentine’s Day and they had a seating at every table so that was understandable. We texted both of our parents from the table to wish them a Happy Valentine’s Day and tell them that we’ll bring them to The Pony Room the next time they’re in town. :)

Did not care for the fixed Valentine's dinner menu but that was our fault for not realizing that when we booked the reservation. Our server was lovely but there seemed to be a lag between courses which likely was a kitchen issue? Portions were small. Stopped somewhere afterwards so my partner could have a snack. Lovely ambiance as always. Will go back but not likely when a fixed menu is offered.
