Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in Wheeling

Good atmosphere, friendly and prompt staff and the food was excellent. 50% off on a bottle of wine didn't hurt either.

So I’ll be honest - I didn’t pick the best food for me - but objectively the food was good. The service was next level. The server - without prompting swapped out with another appetizer and comped part of a dish since I wasn’t going to eat the shrimp. Service was top notch!

We came up to Eddie Merlot’s last night to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my beautiful wife. Sat at the bar and had a wonderful evening with Sue & Antonio.  Eddie Merlots was as busy as I’ve ever seen it and yet the food came out on time and the service was fantastic! Sue & Antonio they never let you see them sweat!! Tim The general manager, stopped by just to make sure that our evening was meeting the standards. The hostess handed my wife, a beautiful rose, which she loved and cherished. Such a nice touch on Eddie Merlot’s part. I’m telling you you won’t go wrong if you go to Eddie Merlot’s and ask for Sue & Antonio. 

Really like this place. The greeter was extremely accommodating, paid close attention to our requests, and placed us at the most desirable table for our group. The server was proactive but not overbearing, and the food was terrific, as usual.

Amazing food. Had the chicken with risotto and it was amazing. It was a quiet nice atmosphere will come and go.
