Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in Howard Beach

Great overall — good ambience, excellent service, delicious food. It is extremely loud in there however, sometimes making it hard to have a conversation. Otherwise, great all around

Knickerbocker is always a treat. Consistently good quality and service. Our Thanksgiving dinner was served hot! We had multiple selections and ample variety. The regular menu was suspended that night but the Porterhouse steak was available (with a supplement.) to the price fixed dinner. Always a favorite!

This specific visit to The Smith was for Thanksgiving Dinner. There was a group of us, and the reservation needed to be modified several times, due to additions and cancellations. The staff at The Smith was so pleasant and accommodating each time I had to contact the restaurant. They could not have been nicer. And the Thanksgiving dinner was great. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Such a nice experience!

Beautiful place in both areas, inside the bar room is my favorite though. I love the red velvet banquettes and that great wall behind the bar! Very convenient if you are traveling by Metro North. The food was delicious, my only thought is that the Onion soup was a bit sweet, as if it had sugar in it, but still great, I just prefer it less sweet. Mussels and fries were great, truffle fries, by the way. It’s on the expensive side, but no different than any other restaurant in the same level. We’ll be going back.

I took my kids to celebrate my son's birthday. The waiter was so nice to us. The food was fresh, well prepare and delicious. We will definitely return, we had a great experience.
